“The Journey To Obtaining Your Promise-land: Knowing When To Fight, Knowing When To Rest” Part 10

You never know what life will throw at you. At one moment, you can be on the top of the world, the next moment, you can be paralyzed in complete devastation and fear.  During this season, The Lord is teaching me how to rest in the midst of a battle while on the way to the promise-land.

The one thing I find it hard to do is not worry, and I know I’m not alone. Over the course of years, it’s been in my toughest battles I’ve learned and still learning how to rest even in the thick of battle.

Rest, even with the fast-paced world we live in, constant demands and the thoughts in our mind tell us different, God is calling us to pull away and rest.

The truth is, during any major undertaking, change, transition or elevation The Lord has us going through, the enemy will show up through attacks, set-backs, your own mistakes, failures, weaknesses and sometimes during this process, you’ll get knocked off your feet, several times.

But what I’m learning in this season of uncertainty is that I’m not control, I have to be patient and merciful with myself in my own weakness and I need to eat The Word of God, believing with my entire existence that what He says is true and will come to pass at any moment.

With the attacks we have going on as a family, is it upsetting and unsettling, Y-A-A-S, am I weary, Y-A-A-AS, am I waiting, Y-A-A-A-S, am I uncomfortable and my flesh kicking and screaming, Y-A-A-S, but, I’m holding onto the word of God like I’m holding onto my life knowing that deliverance belongs to me, to us, that Christ will show up at any moment, that He won’t let us drown or be overtaken, believing that we’re closer to our finish line like never before and what we can’t handle, He’ll carry us along the rest of the way.

Truth is, storms have a way of bringing the best out of us especially when we trust Christ and allow Him to use it for His good.

But in the midst of a storm, we have to know this, God is a good, good father and not matter what we’re going through currently, the enemy can do nothing The Lord doesn’t approve.  So if The Lord is allowing it, He has an expected end in mind that will lead us straight to victory.  Stand still, knowing He is God, believing and trusting Help is on the way at any moment.

The scripture that rang up in my spirit  as I was writing is Psalm 46:10 (NIV),

“…’Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'”

So much comfort I’ve been receiving from Isaiah 30:19-26 (GNT),

19 You people who live in Jerusalem will not weep any more. The Lord is compassionate, and when you cry to him for help, he will answer you.  20 The Lord will make you go through hard times, but he himself will be there to teach you, and you will not have to search for him any more.

21 If you wander off the road to the right or the left, you will hear his voice behind you saying, “Here is the road. Follow it.” 22 You will take your idols plated with silver and your idols covered with gold, and will throw them away like filth, shouting, “Out of my sight!” 23 Whenever you plant your crops, the Lord will send rain to make them grow and will give you a rich harvest, and your livestock will have plenty of pasture. 24 The oxen and donkeys that plow your fields will eat the finest and best fodder. 25 On the day when the forts of your enemies are captured and their people are killed, streams of water will flow from every mountain and every hill. 26 The moon will be as bright as the sun, and the sun will be seven times brighter than usual, like the light of seven days in one.

This will all happen when the Lord bandages and heals the wounds he has given his people.

As I pray for you, continue to pray for me and my family as we’re all sojourning through our wilderness to make it to our promise-land.  Continuing to lift up countries and God’s people that are devastated by storms.  God’s speed and the miraculous be with them always.

Continue to join me as share with you what Christ is sharing with me about overcoming. As always, Be Encouraged, Stay Connected, Fight and Let’s become free together.
