Also, she trained under David Kessler and Author, Andrea Cagan, through their “Writing Through Loss & Trauma” program. Moreover, she is a trained Co-Moderator for David Kessler’s Tender Hearts Program, an online community of courageous grievers, co-leading grief groups for specific losses.  Moreover, she is a member of Mr. Kessler’s Grief Educator’s Alumni’s Circle furthering her studies.

While studying under Paul Denniston, founder of Grief Yoga, she is a certified
Grief Movement Guide, guiding individuals in releasing grief, loss, and pain stuck in their bodies through movement, breath, and sound.

She has trained under Emmy-nominated, former executive producer of The Oprah Show, and Anderson Cooper Show, Rachel Hanfling, in her, “Own the Power of Your Story” Master Class Program for Grief Educators in writing and public speaking.

In her early 20s, with all the complicated and unresolved grief she hid so well, her size 13 began to morph into a 285-pound woman reaching its all-time high at 325 pounds after the birth of her daughter in her early 30s. It was unresolved grief and trauma that led her down the road to morbid obesity, and other health complications to follow. But, obesity just didn’t affect her body, but later, caused deep woundedness in her soul.

After decades of struggling with managing her weight, she heard the call of God to go public about her obesity struggles. The Lord confirmed within her that that if she opened up publicly about the pain obesity has caused her, it would help others become free not just those struggling with obesity, but struggling with ANYTHING keeping them bound. She said YES to her call and B.O.O.M! was born.

Now, after decades of working through her grief, and currently overcoming morbid obesity & and now Lupus, not only is she prepared, skilled, trained, and experienced having first-hand knowledge of grief and loss, but now, she uses her faith, educational training, and personal experiences to minister to those suffering in their bodies and souls to turn pain into purpose

She grew up as the 4th generation of her family attending the historic St. Catherine A.M.E. Zion Church in New Rochelle, NY, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Michael J. Rouse Sr. Later, she joined her husband at Gospel Tabernacle Church of Christ under the leadership of Elder Richard Adamson Sr., in New Rochelle, NY where she attends today. Mrs. Adamson has had many accomplishments and has worn many hats in her career. But, of all her accomplishments, her greatest accomplishment is being a wife to her childhood friend and beautiful husband of 14 years, a manager turned stay-at-home mom and proud mother of 2 beautiful girls. She is a proud daughter, sister, best friend, and an encourager to anyone she meets. But what she’s most grateful for is her faith. It has been the foundation and cornerstone of her life which has allowed her the ability to heal, find meaning and purpose in her pain, the ability to evolve, soar, and persevere during life’s toughest adversities, and today, learning how to be an overcomer and courageous griever.”
