“Don’t Let Fear Hold You In Paralysis” Part 3

images (4)Fear is real for many people.  I didn’t realize there was a certain level of fear I lived with until what I believed was challenged. Some people live in a constant state of fear every day. God wants to show us the damage fear causes us and how it can destroy and overtake our lives. In order for us to Rise to become all God ordained us to be and go to the next level in Him, we have to check our fear level and conquer it. Christ wants to show us how to kill fear in our lives and how to activate our faith in Him.

If we let it, Fear holds power over us. Most of us know exactly what we’re afraid of and some of us, like me, don’t know fear is there until we come face to face with it. Below is a list of some of the by-products of fear and the damage it can cause in our lives:

Fear diverts our purpose. Fear causes us to run away from God. Fear causes us to run from our problems. Fear causes us to sin. Fear causes us to avoid pain. Fear will cost us our healing. Fear causes us to stumble and fall. Fear causes us to be irrational. Fear puts a wall between us and God. Fear tells God we believe satan more than we believe Him. Fear gives us more faith in what the devil can do to us than what God can do for us. Fear steals our vision. Fear kills dreams. Fear is a destiny killer. Fear distorts the truth. Fear takes our eyes off of Jesus.

Fear takes God off the throne and minimizes His Power to Save and Overcome. Fear will cost us the war. Fear opens the door to other strongholds that’ll keep us in bondage. Fear holds us in paralysis. Fear deactivates Heaven from working on our behalf and activates hell to work against us. Fear can physically kill us and bring about all manner of stress, sickness or diseases. Fear can cause mental illnesses. Fear will cause us to stay in one place forever. Fear can cause us to isolate and hibernate from loved ones and people. Fear is a ministry killer. Fear extinguishes love, power and authority. Fear will kill, steal and destroy everything concerning our lives.

Fear is one of the principal spirits satan will use to put us in paralysis to thwart off our purpose in Christ during these last days.

God has given me 5 principals to help me examine, evaluate and overcome fear in my own life. I will give you the first 3 today:

1. Examine What Causes Me To Fear or The Things That Cause Me To Worry. I sat down before the Lord and became honest with Him about the things I fear the most…the things that make me worry…the things that I think about the most…the things that cause me to lose sleep at night…the things that burden me…I wrote them down and went into prayer. I encourage you to take an inventory of those things that cause you to worry and fear and present it to the Lord. My silent concerns or worries was the door opener satan used to cause me to stumble.  By addressing each of our fears with the Lord, we begin to close the door on satan.

What Do You Fear Most?

2. Go Into Prayer. Anything important we ever want to achieve, we cannot haphazardly achieve it…we have to be deliberate and specific in our approach and actions to get the desired outcome.  The same thing with prayer…when we need something from God, we have to allow time to quiet ourselves and wrestle with God if need be until we get what we’re looking for…whether it’s peace, rest, joy, comfort, healing, those foundational promises that are always yea and amen…we have access to those things, but at times, we have to wrestle with the Lord, until what we’re looking for, we have.

3. Find Scriptures That Minister To You About Fear and How To Overcome. The Lord led me to some scriptures that really spoke to me and it quieted my fears. Sometimes we’ll have to read them over and over, but every time we read them, it will renew our mind and build our trust. Faith comes from hearing and hearing the Word of God, so we have to let The Word wash over us, heal us where we hurt and build our faith.

Please continue to join me for the remaining of what the Lord gave me to help me overcome fear in “Don’t Let Fear Hold You In Paralysis” Part 4. The Lord has more to say to His People.

I will leave you with scriptures The Lord ministered to me that brought me peace:

Psalm 46:5 NIV

God is within (me), I will not fall; God will help (me) at break of day.

Exodus 14:14 NLT

The LORD himself will fight for (me.) (I will) stay calm.”

Psalm 56:3-4 (NLT)

3 But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.

4 I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to (us)?

Luke 17:21

…the kingdom of God Lives within (me).

Genesis 50:20 (NIV)

(The enemy) intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done….

Psalm 23 (NKJV)

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil; For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort (and protect )me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the Lord Forever.

“So Let Go, My Soul, And Trust In Him, The Winds & Waves, Still Know His Name…It Is Well…It Is Well With My Soul.” Bethel Music “It Is Well.”

As always, be encouraged, stay connected, fight and Let’s Become Free Together.
