“The Journey To Obtaining Your Promise-land: At The Sight of Your Goliath, Look Up & Worship!” Part 14

There are going to be many things in life that cause our hearts to shrink back in fear. In the midst of climbing our mountains to achieve our goals, set-backs happen, the devil happens, life happens.  How am I keeping my head in the midst of storms all the while pressing towards my promise-land and conquering my journey of overcoming obesity? Here’s what I’m declaring, believing and resting in:

  1. Psalm 37:25 KJV – “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” When we’re faithful, He’ll always prove faithful to us and I’m watching it come to pass in our lives every day.
  2. Matthew 6:11 (KJV) – “Give us this day our daily bread.”  He said He’ll provide for us DAILY.  He’s gives us enough grace just for one day, so we take one day at a time and trust Him for all the rest.  My husband and I are watching Him sustain us day by day and He’s moved daily on our behalf and working miracles.
  3. Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”  It’s comforting to know that no matter what happens, The Lord walks with us through it all.
  4. NEHEMIAH 4:14 GNT – ” I saw that the people were worried, so I said to them and to their leaders and officials, “Don’t be afraid of our enemies. Remember how great and terrifying the Lord is, and fight for your relatives, your children, your wives, and your homes.”  The Lord reminds us, don’t look at the giant, Look up and declare WHO God is!
  5. Isaiah 3018-25 (GNT):18 And yet the Lord is waiting to be merciful to you. He is ready to take pity on you because he always does what is right. Happy are those who put their trust in the Lord. 19 You people who live in Jerusalem will not weep any more. The Lord is compassionate, and when you cry to him for help, he will answer you. 20 The Lord will make you go through hard times, but he himself will be there to teach you, and you will not have to search for him any more. 21 If you wander off the road to the right or the left, you will hear his voice behind you saying, “Here is the road. Follow it.” 22 You will take your idols plated with silver and your idols covered with gold, and will throw them away like filth, shouting, “Out of my sight!” 23 Whenever you plant your crops, the Lord will send rain to make them grow and will give you a rich harvest, and your livestock will have plenty of pasture. 24 The oxen and donkeys that plow your fields will eat the finest and best fodder. 25 On the day when the forts of your enemies are captured and their people are killed, streams of water will flow from every mountain and every hill. 26 The moon will be as bright as the sun, and the sun will be seven times brighter than usual, like the light of seven days in one. This will all happen when the Lord bandages and heals the wounds he has given his people.

Trouble won’t last always. Two major things He wants to remind us as we go through:

  1. Look Up! The Lord is God and He is in COMPLETE CONTROL!!
  2. Like Nehemiah in rebuilding Israel’s wall, throw off the distractions, continue to rebuild with one hand while holding your weapon of warfare and worship in the other.  Renew your minds daily with listening and reading God’s word.

Isaiah 40:25-31

25 To whom can the holy God be compared?
    Is there anyone else like him?
26 Look up at the sky!
Who created the stars you see?
    The one who leads them out like an army,
    he knows how many there are
    and calls each one by name!
His power is so great—
    not one of them is ever missing!

28 Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God; he created all the world.
He never grows tired or weary.
No one understands his thoughts.
29 He strengthens those who are weak and tired.
30 Even those who are young grow weak;
young people can fall exhausted.
31 But those who trust in the Lord for help
will find their strength renewed.
They will rise on wings like eagles;
they will run and not get weary;
they will walk and not grow weak.

Whatever we’re going through, God has already made a way of escape.  We are called to believe.  It’s time to step out, worship like we already received our deliverance and believe.
