“Our Biggest Fight: Dying To Self, Unbelief & Exercising Our Faith” Part 7

If we actually allow what we see with our eyes, our current circumstances or situations to dictate our level of faith and hope in Jesus, if we actually believed what we saw, we’d all be doomed to hopelessness, death and despair. BUT GOD!

In this season, against all odds, despite what we actually see around us, despite who the devil says we are, despite our shortcomings, wherever I find myself, where ever you find yourselves in this season of our lives good or bad, Christ is calling me, US, higher. Christ is calling us to believe in things we’ve never seen, to change in ways we never saw possible and dare to believe the impossible, possible in Him.

At the end of the day, all the enemy desires to do is to kill, steal and destroy, that’s it. He desires our vision, our purpose, our destiny, our hope in Jesus. But, what the enemy is really after is our faith.

What I’ve come to learn in my own devastation and the devastations of others is,

The enemies ultimate goal in devastating our lands is to kill our faith.

I look over my life and I see the land he’s destroyed, the relationships hindered, strained or severed, how he’s ransacked and killed the things that meant the most to me. I see how the enemy has gone through to kill the things I’ve worked so hard to build. I look at my land and see devastation with my own eyes and the people around me, I look at my body and I see how He’s tried to devastate that too. I can truly look around me and see a few things that can make anyone cower and fall out in despair, BUT, God is showing me a new vision.

The Lord’s been speaking to me about Romans 4:

13 When God promised Abraham and his descendants that the world would belong to him, he did so, not because Abraham obeyed the Law, but because HE BELIEVED and was accepted as righteous by God.

16 And so the promise was based on faith…For Abraham is the spiritual father of us all; 17 as the scripture says, “I have made you father of many nations.” So the promise is good in the sight of God, in whom Abraham believed—THE GOD WHO BRINGS THE DEAD TO LIFE AND WHOSE COMMAND BRINGS INTO BEING WHAT DID NOT EXIST!18 Abraham believed and hoped, even when there was no reason for hoping, and so became “the father of many nations.” Just as the scripture says, “Your descendants will be as many as the stars.”

19 He was then almost one hundred years old; but his faith did not weaken when he thought of his body, which was already practically dead, or of the fact that Sarah could not have children. 20 His faith did not leave him, and he did not doubt God’s promise; his faith filled him with power, and he gave praise to God. 21 He was absolutely sure that God would be able to do what he had promised.

AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! We serve a God, in spite of what fails, falls apart, despite of the devastation around us past or present, the giants we face or mountains we have to climb,

WE SERVE A GOD WHO BRINGS THE DEAD BACK TO LIFE AND CALLS THOSE THINGS THAT ARE NOT, INTO EXISTENCE!

What god can do that? NONE! Our God is AWESOME, MIGHTY and RAISES THE DEAD!

In-spite what we’re going or have been through, Christ wants us to hold onto one word,

God can make those dead things in our lives come back to life AMEN!

We can’t dwell and focus on the past, it’s over! Christ want’s us to look at the potential we have today, second chances to start over from where we’ve been even when we fall. Christ wants us to learn from the past, not to repeat former mistakes and focus on what He’s trying to do in and through us now.

Isaiah 43: 18-19 (NIV)

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I can’t change the damage that was done formerly, but I have control in Christ to fix my eyes on Him, belief the perceivably unbelievable and take courage that Jesus can breath life into all of my devastations and bring the dead in me, my past and present and everything around me, back to life. Be encouraged, Christ is fixing whatever problem, giant and devastations we’re facing as we BELIEVE. BELIEVE!

Continue to join me as I share with you what Christ is sharing with me about overcoming and obtaining victory. As always, Be Encouraged, Stay Connected, Fight and Let’s Become Free Together.
